CALçOTADA DINNER AT IBéRICA CANARY WHARF

Join us at Ibérica Canary Wharf on Wednesday 20th March from 6.30pm for the most exciting winter event.

The Calçotada is a Catalan food festival that revolves around eating of calçots (giant spring onions), drinking Cava and wine from porrones (carafes).

Traditionally the calçots are grilled or barbequed, their tough outers are peeled off and then the tender middle is dipped in ‘salsa de calçots’ or romesco sauce and eaten – in fact, lowered into the mouth in one go. Grilled meats usually follow and the food is accompanied by Cava and red wine.

Calçotadas can get quite messy (but that’s part of the fun) and bibs are usually worn.
