IBÉRICA CELEBRATES GALICIA
This June and July at Ibérica we are showcasing all things Galicia – the fourth destination on our regional tour of Spain.
Known as ‘the land of a thousand rivers’, Galicia is an autonomous region in north-west Spain. The landscape is green and the climate offers 4 distinct seasons, not dissimilar to the UK. The region has miles upon miles of beautiful coastline and is famous for excellent seafood.
Special food & drink menus
This summer, enjoy Galician aperitivos in true Spanish style with our Nordesia vermouth (with or without tonic) or signature Ginabelle G&T, served with lemon thyme, orange peel & naturally light Fever-Tree.
Our special wine menu, kindly supported by Terras Gauda, features delicious wines from across the grape varieties in the region, but don’t miss our Albariño tasting flight. Terras Gauda, Mar de Frades & La Val have been selected by us to showcase the diversity of this grape.
A Galician celebration wouldn’t be complete without sampling some of the regions best dishes. As an area famous for seafood we’re offering dishes including Pulpo a feira*, a classic octopus a la gallega dish, served with ‘cachelo’ potatoes and finished with paprika. Merluza a la gallega, is another very traditional recipe, where hake and mussels are cooked in Albariño wine and served with potatoes and peas.
* By ordering our pulpo a feira, you’ll be supporting ASPNAIS, a Galician charity dedicated to developing work programmes for people with disabilities. Our pulpo a feira is served on a wooden board made by people with learning difficulties. Ibérica donates £1 to ASPNAIS every time a board comes to your table.
Keep an eye on our social media to stay up to date with special offers, meet the maker events and guest chef dinners throughout the Summer.
We hope you can join us to celebrate Galicia.
We are very proud to have been supported by Terras Gauda, as we celebrate the region of Galicia across all of our restaurants this summer.
